I have directed, photographed, edited, and staged several family portraits over the years and it all comes down to one thing:

The family is gonna do what the family is gonna do, and it's best to let them do it! Through allowing family members to be themselves during a shoot allows everyone's personalities to shine through in the portraits, leaving us with an authentic, beautiful family photo.
